- Squinting eyes
- Trembling

- Whimpering, moaning, crying, especially on movement
- Screaming
- Increased respirations, shallow breathing. Normal rate is 25-36
- Floppiness or limpness – “wilting”
- Hiding
- Crankiness, unusual behaviour like biting
- Biting out of a fear response
- Lethargy (difficult to rouse)
- Flat ferreting a lot
- Sleeping constantly
- Head bobbing can be a sign of increased heart rate
- Fur roughed up
- Bottle brush tail that doesn’t go down when there is no reason for it.
- Obsessive licking of a particular area
